Diana Marie Marlow “Cookie” 55 of Halifax, NS, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 13, 2014. Born in Halifax, NS she was the daughter of the late Patricia Butt (Gay) and Raymond Butt, both of Halifax, NS.
Diana worked at Canadian Tire in Cole Harbour in her previous years until her illness took her from her job and co-workers. She was a true friend and fighter to all those who truly knew her. When Diana became your friend, rest assured you had a solid, faithful true friend always. Diana was a strong believer in family.
She dedicated her life and time to her loving daughters, Angel and Marilyn and husband, Doug. Diana loved the outdoors and wildlife of all kinds. She loved her daughters immensely and was very active with them in their daily lives and upbringing. The love and laughter they shared together as mother and daughters will last for eternity. Diana was a true and blue fishing buddy with her husband Doug; she always made the most of a day’s adventure on many lakes and rivers with Doug. She will be sorely missed at the birth of her first grandchild due in May of next year but we are sure she will be there in spirit.
Diana is survived by her loving husband, Doug; daughters, Angel and Marilyn, sister, Annette. She was predeceased by infant sister, Cindy; mother, Patricia Butt (Gay) as well numerous aunts and uncles.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, (902-455-0531) on Friday, December 19 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20 at 11:00 am also at J.A. Snow. Interment will follow.
