Deborah Anne (Hogan) Pottie was born April 23, 1954 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She passed away on July 20, 2024 after a sudden decline in her health. Debbie was only 70 years old. Debbie is survived by her loving husband Dennis. She also left behind her brothers Ross (Cheryl), Clyde (Lorraine), and Allan (Wendy), her sister Bonnie, brother and sister in law Bruce and Sharon, brother in law Terry Pottie, many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and was proud of each one of them and many loyal friends. Debbie was predeceased by her father Clyde Hogan and mother Viola Hogan, brother Mikey and sister Wendy, nephew Prescott and mother and father in law Edward and Evelyn Pottie. Dennie and Debbie met in 1969 and have been married 53 years. They have been inseparable ever since. Debbie worked at Superstore, Halifax Dockyards and Halifax Infirmary (Eye clinic). She loved tole painting, gardening, bingo and she loved watching her Blue Jays team play. Debbie loved her family and friends fiercely. She would never give up on someone she cared for. She gave more love than anyone could ask for and asked nothing in return. Her departure comes as a great shock and leaves a deep wound which is gravely felt by her husband Dennis and her entire family and friends. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation or any charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held on Friday July 26, 2024 at 10am in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive.
