Courtney was the cherished daughter of Anne and the late Michael (Diker) Campbell (deceased 2012); sister to Michael (Lorraine) and Peter (Alison) and aunt to Ainslie, Luke, Abigail and Ewan. Also surviving are aunts Mary Britten (d. Elmer), Sydney; Carmel Chisholm (d. Joe), Antigonish; Helen Chisholm (d. John), Antigonish; Loyola (John) McDougall, Sydney; uncles John Campbell (d. Anne Marie), Sydney; Joseph (Stella) Campbell, Halifax; and many loving cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Jack and Catherine Campbell, Sydney, who were also her Godparents; Alexander Peter (d. October 5, 1962) and Lena Floyd, Antigonish; aunts Mary Augusta (Gussie) MacIntyre (d. Duncan), Sydney; Catherine Chisholm (d. Ronald), Antigonish; uncles Allen Campbell (Theresa), Toronto; and Alan J. Floyd.
She was born on Saturday, August 16, 1969 at the time of the opening of the Canada Summer Games in Halifax.
She attended Saint Agnes Church and school and the former Saint Patrick’s High School where her father served as teacher and principal for many years. She spent summers swimming at The Waegwoltic Club.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Francis Xavier University (1991) and a Bachelor of Education degree, cum laude, from Mount Saint Vincent University (1994).
She worked in Vancouver for several years at Western Union Insurance Co. before returning and joining the staff of Alfred J. Bell & Grant Limited. At the time of her illness, she was a valued member of Northbridge Insurance Corporation team.
Courtney accepted her illness with the same grace and dignity that she lived her life.

Visitation will be 3-8pm, Sunday, November 6th at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, N.S. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Saint Agnes Church, 6903 Mumford Road, Halifax, N.S. at 11am, Monday, November 7th.
