MacDonald, Cedric Errol – 76, of Bedford. It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband and father on Thursday May 31, 2012. He was born February 26, 1936 in Halifax to Joseph and Clara MacDonald. A loving husband of 52 years to his soul mate and wife Marlene (Richards). Cherished father of children, Karen (Ian Burke), Paul and Melanie (Greg Aucoin). Beloved grandfather to Ryan, Jordan and Taylor Burke and Joshua and Ethan Aucoin. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister Nancy and brothers John, Cyril and Jim. Cedric was a well known and loved health inspector for the provincial government for 30 years. He was a former owner of Atlantic Pest Control and he founded and coached The Pollikos soccer club. Cedric was also involved in the Halifax minor hockey association for many years. His favorite place on earth was wherever he was as long as he was with his family but mostly his cottage in Hubbards, where he looked forward to visiting each summer for the past 40 years. Cedric loved lobster, a good pen, MacIntosh Toffee and ginger beer. He will be remembered for his fierce independence and his kind and gentle nature.
