Catherine Lillian Goss

GOSS (Watson), Catherine Lillian “Kay” - 93, of Halifax, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 24, 2023 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre in Truro, NS. Born June 6, 1929, in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late John Cameron and Eda Alena (Brushett) Watson.

Kay was a long time employee at Canadian Tire on Quinpool Rd. and retired in 1993 after 25 years of service. After her husband Noel’s death in 1993 she volunteered with the Diana Blakeney Guild at the QE II/VG Cancer Clinic for many years.

Surviving are her children Linda (Art) Ervin, Pictou; Wayne (Sharon) Goss, Dartmouth; grand-daughters Carolyn Desjardins (Shaun Sterling), River Hebert; Laurie Ervin and Kim (Trevor) Rondelet, both in Pictou; Taylor and Nicole Goss, both in Dartmouth; siblings Ken (Cathy) Watson, Cambridge, Ont; Elizabeth (Brian) Mackie, Powell River, BC; great-grandchildren Kyle, Ashleigh, Madelyn, Marlie and Sam; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Noel Goss, son David at birth, grandson-in-law Craig Desjardins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home. A family graveside service will held at Camp Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
