It is with heavy hearts, the family wishes to announce the sudden passing of Bruce Alan Pelley. He was working is Wainwright Alberta with the Department of National Defence. Bruce spent most of his life in Halifax. He went to Chebucto School as a child he later attended QEH High School and played for the Lions Hockey Team. He attended Dalhousie University before joining the Canadian Navy where he served as a lieutenant on the HMCS Okanogan and HMCS Annapolis.
He was a lifetime member of Phi Kappa Pi fraternity in Halifax. He was self employed in many different business ventures over the years. He was avid hockey fan, loved to debate politics, sing Maritime and Irish Tunes and loved playing cards.
He is survived by his parents William and Mary (Crewe) Pelley, his brothers Wayne (Najiba), Gary (Nancy) of Halifax and his sister Dale Bungay (Jim) of Cole Harbour. Nephews - Jim (Kimberly) Bungay, Steven (Kristy) Bungay of Cole Harbour, Galen Pelley of Toronto, Niece - Charmaine Al Molky. Great Nieces & Nephews, Alexander, Kaitlyn, Christopher, Rylea, William and Emma Bungay, all of Cole Harbour. He is predeceased by his grandparents John & Hazel (Pink) Crewe & Stephen & Evelyn (Butt) Pelley, all of Newfoundland. Visitation will be held at Cruikshanks Funeral Home, at 2666 Windsor Street Halifax, on Thursday from 2:00 till 4:00, and from 6:00 till 8:00.
