Brenda Fay Collins

It is with bro­ken hearts and great sor­row that we an­nounce the sud­den pass­ing of Brenda Fay (Con­way) Collins on Feb­ru­ary 7, 2022. Born in Hal­i­fax on Jan­u­ary 28, 1945, she was a daugh­ter of the late Fred­er­ick and Stella Con­way. She was also pre­de­ceased by her brother, Fred­er­ick "Buzz" Con­way. Brenda is sur­vived by her hus­band, Cal­lum "Cal" Collins, her daugh­ter Rhonda Keefe, grand­daugh­ter Nicole Gus­cott (Sam) and great-grand­chil­dren Lily, Jake, and Na­talie, all of Hal­i­fax; step­daugh­ter Bar­bara Ann Bundy (Dean) and step grand­daugh­ters Jes­sica and Dakota, and step grand­son Spencer, all from On­tario. She is also sur­vived by her sis­ter, Verna Collins of Hal­i­fax; brother, James Con­way (Moira) of Hal­i­fax; sis­ter, Bar­bara Kelly (Lawrence) of Monc­ton; and sis­ter, Sharon Man­nette of Hal­i­fax. Brenda en­joyed camp­ing and golf. She loved plan­ning yearly three-month trips to Florida where she al­ways en­joyed fam­ily vis­its. Brenda was em­ployed at Royal In­sur­ance for 25 years. While there, she met many life­long friends. Brenda will be sadly missed by friends and fam­ily and she will al­ways be in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A vis­i­ta­tion will be held on Mon­day, Feb­ru­ary 14th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in J.A.
