With heavy hearts we announce Blanche’s passing at the age of 92 in the Halifax Infirmary Hospital. She peacefully went to her final resting place on the morning of March 5th after a short illness. Blanche was the daughter of George and Lillian Isnor and was born in Halifax on August 12, 1928. It is in Halifax were she met and married Jack, her devoted husband who was serving in the Canadian Navy based in the city’s port. Jack, her parents and her siblings predeceased her departure of this world. Blanche and Jack had three children, Blake, Denise and Darryl (predeceased). Blanche is survived by her children Blake (Elreen) and Denise (Jeff), five grand children: Kristin, Rena, Logan, Ben and Zachery; four great grandchildren: Royce, Ethan, Alizah and Elize: and many nieces and nephews.
Blanche and Jack raised their family in Spryfield and moved to Bridgewater upon Jack’s retirement from navy service. They spent many great years in Bridgewater enjoying a quieter life.
Blanche was a very social person and enjoyed visiting and socializing with all, stop by at anytime and there were always some baked goods available to be had. She always enjoyed knitting, sewing and crafts. In her latter years she looked forward to her weekly outings with the knitting circle of friends.
Blanche will be cremated and a farewell send off will be arranged at a latter date. Her ashes will be laid to rest along side of her parents. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in her memory be made to the diabetes foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Halifax.
