Smith, Beatrice Lavina 89 Halifax passed away December 3, 2012 in Northwood Center.
Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Sylvia (Jenninngs) Hiles. Beatrice worked for National Sea for 35 years retiring in 1983. She enjoyed spending time with family and loved animals.
Surviving is daughter Rosalie Pyke, Halifax, Sister Sylvia (William) Melvin, Halifax; brother Carmen (Jeanne) Hiles, Mississauga On., grandchildren Stephen Pyke and Susan Martin and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Gordon, sister Pearl; brothers Carson in fancy, Lawrence and Charlie. Visitation 2-4, 6-8 Thursday December 6, 2012 in Cruikshanks Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St. Halifax, where Funeral service will be held 10 am Friday December 7,2012. Interment in Fairview Cemetery.
