Barry Michael Connors

Barry was born in Halifax in 1948. He graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in 1967. Barry was married to Ann Katharine (Jury) in 1974; they were married 41 years.

Barry first worked as an employee for William Stairs, Son and Morrow. Later he worked as a Civil Servant for the Department of National Defense in the positions of Storesman, Supervisor of the Film Library and Buyer for TEME. He enjoyed a Lifetime Membership at the Mayflower Curling Club and curled competitively there for many years.

Barry is survived by his wife, Ann; his children, Charles and Carolyn; brothers, Paul, Ken, and Robert; grandson Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barry is preceded in death by his parents, Charles James Connors and Zita May (Hayes); his siblings, Gerald, Patrick, Charlie, and Carol.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on September 11, 2015, in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, with reception to follow. Burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The Junior Curlers at the Mayflower Curling Club (902-454-0085).
