Barbara, affectionately known as Barbie, was born on August 20th 1955 in Halifax Nova Scotia to the late James and Effie (Levy) Gilbert.
She is survived by her brothers Kenneth, David, and Micheal; sister Deborah (Stephen) Filleul and nephew Matthew Gilbert; extended sister Sonin and nephew Ezekiel; and her beloved cat Jazz.
