LANTEIGNE, Armand Gilles – 64, passed away suddenly on July 23, 2012 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Tracadie, New Brunswick, Armand was the son of the late Lazare Lanteigne and Berta (Morais). He is survived by his loving wife Susan (Morash) who he had 43 years of an amazing marriage. Together they had three sons: David (Melinda), Bradley (Trish), both of West Dover and Stephen (Allan), Hammonds Plains; three brothers: Bertrand (Michelia), Montreal and Yvon (Carmelia) Thibodeau, Tracadie, N.B. and also his step-mother Lillian Savoie. Armand also had four grandchildren who were his pride and joy – Jacqueline, Joshua, Braiden and Gabriel, all of West Dover; three aunts: Annie Lanteigne, Anna (Norman) Savoie, and Bella (Thomas) McGrath, all of New Brunswick; his loving extended family: Joan and Johnny; Josie and Kenny; Eric and Bev; Elliott and Marie; Donna and Burton; Billy and Cheryl; Betty Ann; Lionel, Florence and Melissa; Rodney and Goldie. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers: Renaud Lanteigne, his twin brother at birth and son at birth, and also a brother-in-law Oliver. Armand had a great love of life. His greatest achievement was his family, and the perfect score in bowling. He made a perfect 100 on November 3, 2005 – Single string no marks. Bowling was his greatest pastime. He loved playing hockey and baseball in his younger years. After his accident in 1999, he played darts and crib at the Seabright Legion. He also loved his outdoor sports, hunting was a very special time with son David, and trout fishing with brother-in-law and best friend Eric. Armand was also a Texas-Hold-Em fan and loved his card games with his friends and family. He also tracked his families geneology. Armand had so many good friends along with his family who will all miss him terribly. We’re sure he has met with his loved one’s in heaven. Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax on Friday, July 27th at 6-9pm. Funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, July 28th at 11 am.
