With sadness mixed with love and peace, her family announces Anna’s passing on August 2, 2021.
Born in Fredericton, NB in 1923, Anna was the daughter of the late Edward and Lena (Reid) McSorley and the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years Bernard M. Daigle and her beloved son, William of Enfield; her sisters, Mary and Agatha; brothers, Phillip and John and her son-in-law, Wayne Finck.
Anna was devoted to her family. She is survived by her sons, John (Mary) of BC, Robert (Mary) of Dartmouth and Richard of Halifax; her daughter, Peggie Finck of Halifax; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law Florence Daigle-Day.
Anna was a devoted Roman Catholic and an honorary member of the CWL. She helped with Hope Cottage, delivered for Meals on Wheels, and was a volunteer at the Senior’s Home. Anna and Bernie spent many happy years in Myrtle Beach where they made many friends, enjoyed golf and cards. She especially loved to play Bridge.
A special thank you to the staff at Melville Gardens and Melville Lodge for the care and compassion they have shown to Anna over the years.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Catholic Parish on Friday, August 6 at 11am. Burial will take place at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, August 7 at 2pm . Memorial donations may be made in Anna’s memory to MADD
