Age 54, of Terence Bay, passed away November 10, 2019, at the Victoria General Hospital. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Alvin and Judy MacDonald. He worked for the family-owned business, Alvin MacDonald Trucking and Excavation Ltd., for 32 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends, hunting, four-wheeling, playing cards and going to the races. He had a contagious laugh and was well-known for "humour". He is survived by his wife Cheryl (Recker), of 20 years; step-daughter Melissa (Sean Tanner) and son Cody; sister Kimberly (Cory Lake); brother Gregory (Terri); and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Judy. A very special thank you to all the dialysis nurses, transplant coordinators, and nephrology doctors, who were like a second family to him. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax from 2-5 pm with remarks beginning at 2:30 pm. Family flowers only.
