I knew Scott from our phone conversations. I found him in a moment of crisis when I needed assistance after breaking something on my printer. It was memorial day and I was trying every service number I could find with the hope that someone would answer. Scott was the only one who answered and was so incredibly generous and kind with his time. We spoke for well over half an hour. He not only put my mind at ease but he empowered me to take action and "get under the hood". His passion to educate and help people was palpable. I had the good fortune of speaking with a handful of times thereafter. I was always taken by the delight and generosity of his spirit. The man was a true artist. My thoughts and prayers are with Linda and his family. This a major loss not only for his family but for the printing community as a whole. He was a diamond in the rough.


When my brother and I started a high end print business, we spent hours on the phone with Scott.  We have been delighted with the bright, vibrant colors of his ink and hands-on, common sense approach to maintenance. His solutions had us running 12 colors many years ahead of the industry, and we hoped to add brown, which Scott was able to do but the major OEMs still do not.  He was truly ahead of his time.  He always looked at the whole picture surrounding a problem, not just a solution for the moment, but a better process to prevent future downtime.  He always had such patience with each client as if they were the only two people in the world.  There is an amazing amount of knowledge that he has left us if you read his writings carefully and study his work thoughtfully.  To Linda and family, you are so fortunate to have had such a wonderful person in your lives.  May you find your own peace.

I ache inside from missing you. My better half. You were my everything. My inspiration, my genius husband. I never wanted to stop you from anything you wanted to do, because you did everything with such passion, and love. Simcha! you spread from your love of family to friends/clients you had across the World.  I will always love you. Just looking at your beautiful eyes in this picture, it reminds me of a candlelit dinner we had, and how your eyes mesmerized me. My beautiful husband XOXOXO forever!

Linda and family Scott was truly a beloved friend and working with Scott was an experience I will never forget. My prayers are with Scott and his family. You will be missed.

Scott is gone three weeks, now, and I still cannot feel that he is no longer among us. We never met face to face, but I have never felt closer to another man in my life.

Ooo, Linda still hard to believe Scott is out of our physical lives. We love Scott so much and were so close to him. He would call us often and discuss his ink formulas with us many, many times. I was always calling him, trouble shooting the silk printing. Scott helped us in our business immensely over the 6 years we knew him. He was like a brother to my husband and myself. We were planning to come to meet Scott for the first time in the Spring.

Getting to know you and your family through Lynn and Wayne has been a treasure. Both you and Scott have been so kind to my children and especially Reid, my son, was heartfelt when he heard the news. My condolences to the Saltman family on the occasion of such change. I only spoke with Scott on the phone due to work but felt he was a kindred spirit, who was always friendly, helpful and as is increasingly rare these days, honest and open with his thoughts expertise and general camaraderie. I will miss him and i never met the man. Much love.

I was so saddened by the news when I heard. Steve always made me feel welcome at your home the times I came to visit. He was such a sweetheart. He had wonderful taste in music and films. I was happy I was able to talk to him the times I did about inspiring musicians and old films. He knew a lot and it was fun to sit down and reminisce. I remember the times Linda would talk about her love for writing and children stories and I'd see him nodding with a smile. He was so proud of you, Linda! I know I wasn't as close to him as you all were, but the times I did speak with him, I will always remember. My love is with all of you. I wish I could be there for the service, but I am many miles away. I will be thinking of you. BIG HUG!!! Love you, Linda and Scotty! Miss you TONS!!!

Linda, Jen, Scotty, I don't know where to begin as I reflect back on what a wonderful person Steve was, is and will always be in our memories. I do not know anyone else that had so much to give to everyone around him. He was a constant, always there to listen and offer help. I among many others will hold his memories close to my heart and truly miss his easygoing spirit.
