Sally(Reiter) Pollack, 87, beloved wife of the late David Pollack, passed away at the Village at Mariner's Point in East Haven, CT. on February 27, 2014. Sally Pollack resided 56 years in Secaucus, N.J. Born in Newark, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Reiter. She attended New York University, and graduated from secretarial school, beginning her working career as the secretary to the executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
She was very active in the Secaucus Women's Club and was an avid mah jongg player. She frequently provided secretarial assistance in her husband's law practice. She was also an active member of Congregation Ansche Shalom.
She leaves two daughters, Mindy Pollack(Jim Golding) and Aimee Pollack-Baker(Michael Baker), and four grandchildren: Miriam, Andrew, Harry, and Rose. While she was an only child, she considered her late husband's siblings as her own brothers and sisters. She was particularly close to devoted sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Henry Goldfinger as well as cousins, Eugene and Michelle Cunningham and their children. She was very fond of her nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her mah jongg friends, particularly Ann Colasurdo.
Sally's family would like to thank the staff at the Village of Mariner's Pointe for the wonderful care she received there over the past nine years that she resided there.
