Marilyn Siegel, a vibrant and energetic soul, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024, with daughter Stacey at her bedside. Born on April 18, 1942, Marilyn was 82 years old at the time of death. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Ruth Herman and her best friend and sister, Linda Perrelli. A longtime resident of Emerson and then Park Ridge, NJ, Marilyn's life was marked by her loving and loyal devotion to her family, friends and community.
Marilyn found joy and purpose in her career as the owner of "Pickles and Ice Cream," a maternity clothing boutique in Teaneck, NJ. Her passion for supporting others extended into her work with the Weight Watchers Organization, where she inspired many as a group leader.
Her interests were diverse and rich; she enjoyed knitting, playing mahjong, traveling, exercising, shopping and attending theater performances. Above all, Marilyn cherished time spent with her family and hosting large gatherings. She often said she was the luckiest woman alive, to have so many wonderful family and friends and the nicest husband in the world.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Howard Siegel; daughters Cindy Becker, Stacey Abraham (husband Jeffrey), Stephanie Weiner (husband Michael); sons Marc Siegel (wife Linda), Barry Siegel (wife Rachel Somers), Kenneth Siegel; and her 9 grandchildren Ben Becker, Sophie Siegel, Kelly Valentine, Lilli Abraham, Sam Siegel, Mitch Abraham, Emma Valentine, Luke Weiner, and Emi Weiner. Marilyn also leaves behind her cherished dog, Sweety.
Marilyn was a dedicated member of her local synagogue, Temple Beth Shalom in Park Ridge, NJ and active at the JCC Bergen County.
