Jozefine Marguerite Schiffman

She was predeceased by her husband Stanley and is survived by her daughters and sons in law Carla and Howard Israel, Jane and Andrew Friedman and Judy Schiffman , and her grandchildren Spencer and Ariel Israel, Eliza Israel and Sara Friedman along with several cousins, her dear sister in law and numerous nieces.

Born in China on April 1, 1931, she led a fascinating life having lived in Hong Kong, Vancouver, Seattle, and Los Angeles before settling in NYC and eventually raising a family in Oradell, NJ.

Family was everything to her. She was an incredibly strong woman with a vibrant and generous personality. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye and could never do anything wrong.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday. May 12, 2023 at Gutterman and Musicant Funeral home in Hackensack with burial immediately following at Cedar Park Cemetery.

Friends may begin to arrive at 12:15 for ample time to pay respects to the family.

Shiva will be held after the cemetery today and continue Saturday evening 7:00-10:00pm at her apartment

140 Prospect Ave. Apt 7K, Hackensack.

Shiva will continue on Sunday and Monday 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm at the home of Carla and Howard Israel

4 Eileen Ct, East Brunswick.
