jack was always so nice to us through out his time with timberland. we are so saddened by his passing. jack was a special person having a large heart always asking about my family before work related questions.i am very sad and extremely emotional. i will forever think about you jack. every time i see a box of timberland i will think of you jack, you were a great man and an even better person.

                     we will never forget you jack,may your neshomah be elevated higher and higher in heaven, getting closer and closer to god. 

Jack made being his friend easy. Being friends with Jack meant friends for life. It meant loyalty. It meant effort. It meant honesty....Jack would always give you the real deal, no matter the topic of discussion. Jack would literally give you the shirt off his back. Working a community service day together in NYC for Timberland during 9/11, I had nowhere to go and no way to get there. Getting home that night was not an option for me. Jack insisted I come stay at his house for the night. Jack, Janet and I talked for most of the night, and every single 9/11 thereafter, like clockwork, I would get a call from Jack to check in. 18 years running. I will miss those calls....and all calls and visits with Jack. He was truly, one of a kind. RIP my great friend. 

Jack! Such great times we had coaching and barbecuing with our families.  I will miss you  my friend. 


Jack , I miss having you in my life already.  It's so hard to come to grips with the reality that you have passed on.

Rest in peace my friend.

All of us at Upper Ridgewood Tennis Club are deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Jack's passing.

He was, of course, a great player but also a great gentleman - and we'll miss his sense of humor and wide smile.

Adam Max and Olivia are Jack's pride and joy.  Jack and I kept in touch over the years by telephone and those calls were always filled with stories of love for his children.  

I met Jack in the 1980's in the Tennis Industry.  Jack was a mentor and friend early on. He always treated me kindly and offered life advice which I needed. I became a tennis pro and earned my living for 20 years at a local indoor club. Jack would invite me to play with him often. He was so good. A lefty and a very smart, solid player. I never took a set off him. And I was good. We always had a beer after and Jack would tell me how he beat me. He was a hard worker and a good person. I'm very sorry to hear about his passing. Goodbye Jack and thank you so much for your friendship.

I miss my friend.  Jack was one of the most loyal and best friends one could have in life.  I have many great memories of spending time together with Jack from driving down the coast of California together, to teaching tennis together in Massachusetts and Mexico, to his wonderful children Olivia and Max, and his beautiful wife Janet. I had plans to spend time together with Jack as we got older.  I am very sad.  Lots of love to Jack and his family.

We will miss our wonderful friend, a great laugh, and a serious tennis player. May his memory be a blessing.

We became great friends with Jack through our love for our dogs.  Both of our dogs are not the friendliest but for some reason they love our families.  Jack would take our Bruce on walks constantly and Bruce would always let Jack flip him on his back and rub his belly.  For Bruce to allow you to touch him you have definitely became best friends with him.  We will miss him tremendously.  Our condolences goes out to the whole family.  

Our heartfelt condolences to his family.  He was a terrific friend, and will always be among our fondest memories.
