Dave Karpel was my favorite uncle.   I truly loved him.  He was kind,  gentle , caring and an overall wonderful human being.  I have known him to be a wonderful giving person my whole life. He was a wonderful Husband to my Aunt Roz and a role model father to his children Scott , Brian and Kevin.  I have only the fondest memories of family visits, vacations and celebrations.  He always brought a smile to my face and offered his wisdom in times of need.  I will always remember him dancing with me at my wedding and being a source of comfort to me throughout my life when I needed a hand .   I will miss him dearly .  

To the Karpel family, I was so saddened to hear of Dave's passing from Mario Tormo today. Dave and I knew each other from when I was a pre-teen growing up with my father at LOWY, Dave and Mario and all the great artisans of those days taught me my trade and always with generosity of spirit, kindness and humor. I will remember Dave as my mentor, my colleague and my friend.
He will be sorely missed but remembered as a genuinely good person who loved his family and his life.
Rest in peace my friend.
