Theodore Wing-Heng Leung, 45, born July 2, 1972 in Hong Kong, went home to be with our Lord on February 6, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Susan, three children Abigail, Justin, and Emma, his father and mother, Stephen and Susan, his sister Tricia, and his grandmother Sin Hang Kwok. Ted spent his childhood years in Happy Valley Hong Kong, and came to the United States at the age of sixteen. He was a graduate of Libertyville High School, and received his undergraduate degree in marketing from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and his MBA through Keller University. He worked in sales and marketing in the food packaging industry for over twenty years.
Ted was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, and served in church in youth ministry, on the deacon board, and on the worship team. He loved Susan, his college sweetheart, who he was married to for over nineteen years. Ted was also fiercely proud of his children (Abigail, Justin, and Emma) and their many accomplishments, and loved his parents (Stephen and Susan), his grandmother (Sin Kwok), his sister (Tricia), and his nine nieces and nephews. Ted was an amazing cook, and loved the Chicago teams (Cubs, Hawks, and yes, even the Bears and Bulls) as well as Manchester United and LASC, where he coached soccer.
Visitation will be Friday, February 16th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Chinese Christian Union Church-North at 1506 Half Day Road, Highland Park, IL 60035. A service celebrating Ted’s life will be held on Saturday, February 17th at 9:00am at CCUC-North. Interment and luncheon will follow.
