Josephine H. Rivera

Josephine H. Rivera of Waukegan, IL, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Josephine is survived by her loving son and daughter, Jaime and Rose, beloved brother and sister-in-law, Maria and Manuel Rivera, sister Maria Elena Gomez, brothers Juan, Sam and Henry Hernandez and dear friends, Maria Vargas, Bonnie De La Luna and Celia Ramos.

Josephine was born in Baytown, TX to Matilde and Jesus Hernandez and moved to Waukegan, IL, at the tender age of 15. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Pedro and sister Carmen.

Josephine was a devoted mother to her children and a great friend to many. She was instantly loved by anyone who had the honor of meeting her. Her quiet nature and ability to lend an ear endeared her to so many. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

May the Lord take her into his loving arms and keep her in his glory until we meet again.

Due to COVID 19 the Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 10 AM at Most Blessed Trinity Church, 450 Keller Ave, Waukegan. There will be a limit of 100 attendees permitted. If you are attending the Mass please register at this address:
