Alicia Sanchez Medellin

Alicia was born on February 3, 1930 in San Luis Potosi, S.L.P. Mexico

She was pre-deceased by her loving husband Hector Sanchez and their son Hector Alejandro Sanchez.

Beloved Mother of four surviving daughters and two sons. Alfredo Sanchez (Lynda), Patricia Tano, Beatriz Castañeda (Aldo), Ricardo Sanchez (Aydie), Alicia Campos (Jerry ) and Maria Garza.

Lovingly remembered by 15 Grandchildren and 21 Great-Grandchildren. Many Nephews, Nieces, and other loved ones both here and in Mexico. She had some college education in Mexico and worked in a bank where she met her husband who she would marry on Aug. 23, 1952 at San Miguelito Church in San Luis Potosi. Alicia came to Chicago in November of 1955

She will always be treasured and remembered for her faith, unconditional love, kindness, humility, selflessness, authenticity, perseverance, positive attitude, contagious laugh and smile.

A visitation for Alicia will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. A funeral mass will occur Monday, February 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 4220 N. Sheridan Rd., Chicago, IL 60613. Followed by a graveside service at Wunder's Cemetery, 3963 N Clark St., Chicago, IL 60613.
