Ron McKenna

McKENNA, Ronald (Ron)— After a brief illness, passed away surrounded by his family, at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Ron McKenna, in his 72nd year, was the beloved husband of Pat Shields. He was the dear father of Kim and Keith, and the dear step-father of Cindy and Jackie. Ron is fondly remembered by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by two sisters Janice and Deanne, and he will be sadly missed by family and friends. Ron is predeceased by two sisters Jean and Virginia and by his parents Thomas and Jean (McNaughton) McKenna. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Friday, January 25, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral and Committal Service will be held at the Dublin Chapel on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice Wellington or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home (519-822-4731) or send condolences to www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com ).
