Peggy May Jensen

Our family is sad to announce the passing of Peggy May Jensen (née Sporle) on May 1st, 2024 at the age of 99. We profoundly grieve her loss but are grateful for her peaceful passing and our many years of love and laughter together.

Peggy was predeceased by Kaj Jensen, her husband of 50 years. She was a proud and loving mother of Mark (Sue) and Caroline (Shawn). Peggy was a wonderful Grandmother to Eric (Julia), Rebecca (Brendan), Brent (Jaymee) and Rory. And finally, she was also a Great-grandmother to Kajus and Rémi.

The family will receive their friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home's Hart Chapel at 1099 Gordon Street in Guelph on Sunday, June 23rd from 12 noon – 2 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Hart Chapel at 2 p.m. This will be followed by a reception at the Funeral Home. We are looking forward to sharing memories of Peggy at that time.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to The Scott Mission or the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. These were two charities that were close to Peggy's heart. Donations can be made in person at the Funeral Home (cash or cheque accepted) or online at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com.

We would like to send special thanks to the kind and caring staff at Mountainview Retirement Home in Georgetown. It was wonderful to know that Mom was in a loving and happy environment in her final years.
