Mary Elizabeth (Campagnaro) Slade

Mary Slade (nee Campagnaro) was a kind, gentle, compassionate soul, ever giving of herself to those around her with thoughtfulness and unconditional love. She never sought attention or recognition and yet she touched the hearts of so many. With a love that reverberates across those who know and loved her and also those whose lives she touched through her many years of babysitting, her online (CaringBridge and CMC) and school (St. Ignatius of Loyola) volunteer work and her constant expression of compassion, love, kindness and support to others, Mary was an incredible force of good in this world.

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Mary passed peacefully, on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the age of 74. Loved deeply by her husband Michael Slade, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. Devoted and beloved mother of Mark (Nancy) and David (Angela) and adored grandmother of Juliana, Scarlett and Michael.

It is certain that Mary will be greatly missed by many, most of all by her family, as she adjusts to new life in heaven. The greatness of her love is the greatness of our loss.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph. The family invites friends and relatives for visitation on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Hart Chapel on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 11am. A link for livestreaming will be available on the funeral home website.
