Beloved first child of Anthony Cannata of Toronto (Canadian-Sicilian) and Jane (Jean) (nee Mulholland, Canadian Scot) of Stratford. sister of Georgina (Jean) Allicock and brother-in-law Evan Allicock, brothers George Cannata (Virginia, nee Morris) and John Cannata (Barbara, nee Chesher).
Madeline is survived by her three children John Hazell (Sonya), David Hazell (Marny) and Melanie Nalli (nee Hazell). Madeline was especially fond of her grandchildren Zachary and David Hazell (John & Jennifer Hazell); Alex Hazell, Tyler Topham and Spencer Hazell (David and Marny Hazell); and Anthony and Adriano Nalli (Melanie & Emanuele Nalli). She is with us in spirit; we can’t touch her any longer, but she continues to touch us.
Madeline had a great memory. Her children joke that if it wasn’t for mom’s reminding, many events would be lost. Madeline was exceptionally intelligent and informed, and her wisdom proved to be unusually accurate. At times, she was even blessed to see things ahead of their occurrence. Madeline was intensively involved in the lives of her children without being over-bearing. She lived life to the fullest and everyone who knew her liked or loved her.
Memory Eternal, our beloved mother. Your family will always remember the good times with you and Dad (Monty Hazell, Irish/British- Canadian), the times skating, tobogganing, cooking, eating your delicious food; learning life from you, your kind smile, your open and spacious heart, the comfort and guidance you lovingly gave us. You were always there for us, through thick and thin. You seldom thought of yourself, and you were a true giver.
Eternal rest to you, our devoted and exceptional mother. You will be dearly missed.
