She was a devoted mother to Colin and Barry, and their wives, Lisa and Cyndy, and a cherished grandmother to Oscar and Hannah.
Born in 1942, Lorna immigrated to Canada aboard the Empress of Canada in 1965, initially settling in Toronto. A dedicated physiotherapist for many years at Guelph General Hospital and St. Joseph's Health Centre and several years at Georgetown Hospital, she retired at 50, allowing her to pursue her passions. Lorna enjoyed many winters in Florida and had a love for golfing, fishing, dancing, and savoring a glass of wine. She treasured the moments spent around campfires at Mini Lakes and Silent Valley, and especially loved cruising the Mediterranean and exploring Australia.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Daniel Finnegan from Norfolk Medical Centre and Dr. Will Ruddock for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Guelph General Hospital or the Red Cross would be appreciated. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 17, at 10 AM at Memory Gardens, Breslau.
Lorna’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
