With heavy hearts we share John Thomas Bryson has passed away peacefully at the age of 75 on October 12, 2024, surrounded by family at Hospice Wellington.
Born May 28, 1949 to Robert Bryson (deceased) and Joan McKillop (deceased). Family came first in his life. He was big brother to Cher, Robert (deceased), Ken, Debbie, Michael, and Mark; treasured brother-in-law, uncle and nephew. John was predeceased by his first wife Judy Bryson (nee Love) in 1991. Lovingly remembered by his wife Donna Bryson (nee Foote). Proud father of Julie McNally (Ryan), Jaclyn Bryson, James Bryson (Jen) and cherished grandfather of Tyson, Evan, Spencer, Hannah, and Norah.
John graduated from the University of Waterloo, Civil Engineering class of ‘76 (in his mind, the only real kind of engineering). He was a proud professional engineer and passionate about his work with various consulting firms and the City of Toronto.
He enjoyed fishing with his children and grandchildren, playing hockey between the pipes, golfing, and touring with the family on road trips around Canada and the U.S. He was a generous, kind, loyal friend and colleague to many at both work and play. From watching bikes for the Tri-club to being at the front of the auditorium for graduations, John was always there for friends and family.
