SHEPHERD, George McAllister— Passed away at the Guelph General Hospital, Guelph, with family by his side, on Friday, November 27, 2015. George Shepherd, in his 75th year, was the beloved husband of Nina. He was the dear father of Susan Richmond (Ernie), the late Scott Shepherd (2004) (Pamela), and Sherri James (Brent). George was the proud grandfather of Jeremy, Danielle, Amanda, Emma, Matthew and Benjamin. He was the loving brother of Marjorie Wilton (Cameron), Fred Shepherd (Susan) and infant brother James Shepherd. George was a member of the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada and president of the Guelph Stamp Club. Stamp collecting was a life-long passion of his. George had several successful careers in sales and he spent the last 23 years as a realtor, partnering with his wife. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Fellowship Lounge at Hart Chapel on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 12 – 3 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice Wellington or to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
