Dennis McDermott

Passed away at home, with his family by his side, following a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Dennis was loved by his older brother Patrick; by his twin Michael and his wife Julie. Beloved uncle of Peter, Gregory, and Colleen (Kurtis) Simpson, and great-uncle to Alex, Aiden, Ella, and Deserae. He will be fondly remembered by his many other cousins and friends. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Friday, February 14, 2014 with visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass to be Celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations to Dennis’s favourite charity, the Salvation Army, or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. His family wishes to thank Dr. Nick and Dr. Will Ruddock and their staff; Dr. Hewak and his staff; Dr. Robinson; Kim Carere of the CCAC; and all the Bayshore nurses who helped us take such great care of Dennis.
