Barb, as she was affectionately known, was born in Summerside, PEI on May 17th, 1949 to the late Emiline Nisbet (nee Rayner) and Warren Nisbet. She is leaving behind her husband of 57 years, Manfred (Fred) Moch and sons, James, Thomas and Edward (Blair). Survived by her siblings Warren Nisbet (Koidula) and Brenda Ham (Herb). She was adored by her grandchildren, Kieran Gilmore Moch, Ashley Moch & Xander Moch. She is remembered fondly by her nephews Kalev Nisbet (Ashley), Taavo Nisbet (Marissa) and niece Lynsey Ham.
Deeply proud of her PEI roots, Barb travelled back home frequently taking each of the grandchildren there for their 10th birthdays to explore her old family farmstead in Tyne Valley.
Barb was loved by many friends and extended family. Barb and Fred raised their boys in Alliston, Ontario and she was an active member of that community for many years. After the boys moved away, they moved their home base to Seagrave, Ontario. Barb was a friend to many and an active member of a number of clubs and groups in and around Port Perry. Most recently Barb and Fred moved to Guelph, Ontario to be closer to their sons.
A force of nature, Barb was outgoing and friendly. She adored animals of all kinds. Always willing to help someone in need. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held at the home of Ed and Blair Moch in Morriston, Ontario on Saturday, July 6th at 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Guelph Humane Society or Heart and Stroke foundation would be appreciated.
