Ralph V. Tryon

Ralph V. “Vern” Tryon, age 75 of Grove City, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born March 7, 1948 in Marietta, OH. He attended Marietta High School where he played football (#76). Ralph moved to Grove City in 1968. He retired from COTA after 32 years as motor coach operator. Ralph was an avid OSU fan but most of all he was a loving Husband, father and devoted Papa. Ralph is precede in death by his grandmother Thelma Whiston; his parents-in-law Bill and Ann Roark; sister Roberta Evans; sister in Law Janice Snyder; and members of the Roark Family – Elmer, Jack, Jacqueline, Bert, Ray, Lon Jr., and Pearline. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Kathy Tryon; son Willie (Amy) Tryon; daughter Donna L. (Dana Miles) Tryon; forever friend Donna F. Forrest; grandchildren Haley and Enzo Tryon, Taylor Counts, Tyler Riley, Josh Riley, Allison Snyder, Angelo Snyder, Vann Norman, and Makaila (Nate) Curry; nieces and nephews Sherri Snyder, Kathy Riley, John (Ronnie) Snyder, Todd (Amy) Snyder, Thomas Roark II “Lisa, Molly, Tony, and Caroline Roark”; brother-in-Law Tom (Vicky) Roark; sister Alana (Ford) Jude; cousins Twinkle (Roby) Schottke, Rodney French “Gavin and Kaley”. Ralph’s family will receive friends 4-6 PM Friday, August 11 at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd (HOOVER RD at KINGSTON AVE) where his funeral service will be held 10 Am Saturday, August 12. Interment at Grove City West Cemetery. The family would like to thank Ohio Health Hospice for all their loving care, specifically, Nurse Tad, Nurse Heidi, and Patient Care Technician Lillian. Memorial contributions may be made in Ralph’s name to Ohio Health Hospice.
