John W. Bryant

John W. Bryant, age 74, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023. He was born on May 4, 1949 to the late Frank and Mary (Reed) Bryant in Williamson, WV. John served in the U.S. Army after graduating from high school and then went on to work for the Liebert Corporation for 47 years before retiring. He married Joyce A. DeLong and they spent 51 years together. John is preceded in death by his parents, and grandson, Tyler Turner. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Bryant, daughters, Lesa (Mark Levi) Grotsky-Bryant, Jennifer (Will) Green, grandchildren, Heather (Sam) Cook, Hayley Jennings, Trevor Turner, great grandchildren, Noah Cook, Lucas Cook, Oliver Allman, siblings, Phyllis (Gordon) Carlson, Brenda (Pete) Hammond, Meril (Perry) Cooper, Tom (Susan) Bryant, he is also survived by Joyce’s siblings, Gene DeLong, Jeff DeLong, Amy Abrigg, along with a host of nieces, nephews and many dear friends and coworkers. John was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and hosting family reunions, riding his Harley Davidson Fat Boy and watching his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes play ball. John was a member of the Foreman’s Club at Liebert Corporation. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 5-7 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd. where his funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 1:30 pm with Tim Swick, officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Central Ohio P.O. Box 324 Blacklick, OH 43004 or to the Columbus Humane 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Ct. Hilliard, OH 43026.
