Janet Irene Evans

Janet Irene Evans, 84, passed away August 27, 2022. She was born February 11, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Maurice and Lucille (Austin) Evans. Janet was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Columbus Clippers and the Ohio State University football team. She had a love for animals, especially her dogs. You would often see her sitting in the garage with her dog, and as her neighbors came to visit her, they would also give Katie Sue some dog biscuits. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Grove City. After many years of service, Janet retired as an executive assistant with the Ohio Department of Youth Services. Janet is survived by those who loved her most including her brother, Roger (Judy) Evans; nieces, Teresa (Matt) Daniels, Christy (Roy) Robinson, and Lisa (Steve) Pool; her nephews, Daniel (Joni) Evans and Joel Trenschel; and many other family and friends. Visitation will be 10:00am – 12:00pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., (HOOVER RD AT KINGSTON AVE), Grove City where funeral service will follow at 12:00pm with Dr. Jerry Neal officiating.
