James E. “Jim” Hamilton, age 69, passed away 4 days after his 69th birthday at his residence with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Betty (Nichols) Hamilton. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Laurie, sister, Barbara (Dana Lisle) Hamilton Newell, brother, John (Gwendolyn) Hamilton, nieces and nephews, Benjamin (Casandra Bergman) Scott, Elizabeth Mace, Joshua (Yi-Fang Yang) Hamilton, Joseph (Heidi) Hamilton, great nieces and nephews, Paint Mace, Ava Mace, Alexander Hamilton, Charles Hamilton, along with several life long friends and a host of other friends. He was a graduate of Franklin Heights High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree from the Art Institute in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He worked for several years as a Forensic Photographer for the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Jim owned his own businesses over the years, Inner Light Studios and Imagri Studios. Jim was a dedicated follower of Christ and attended Dwell where he was currently leading a bible study, as well as many other ministries over the years. He and Laurie enjoyed traveling especially the 2 week trip out west. Jim enjoyed his travels to Florida and is said to be hanging out on a beach somewhere. There will be a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Please check back for service details.
