He was born to Armin and Erika Wolfram in October 1943 in Niederlehme, Germany, and they later moved to the United States in 1957.
Gerhard married Eva in 1963 and they had two children, Anthony and Stephanie.
He retired as a movie projectionist, and worked as a cameraman at Scioto Downs and Beulah Park for many years.
He was an absolute genius who could fix anything, and many of his family and friends benefitted from his ability to do home repairs, major construction, electrical and plumbing work, and hang ceiling fans.
He enjoyed making home movies on special family occasions, and spending time with friends at the Waffle House following a fun night at the casino.
Gerhard is survived by his loving wife Eva, children Anthony (Karen) Wolfram, Stephanie (Jeff) Smith, granddaughter Miranda Erika Anne Smith, siblings Gerda (Harold) Davis and Ingrid Jayroe, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 8 from 4-6 pm at Schoedinger Norris Funeral Home 4242 Hoover Rd, Grove City where his funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 12:30 pm with Pastor Christian Root of Grove City Vineyard Church officiating.
Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave, Columbus, Oh 43223
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, in memory of Gerhard Wolfram.
