Debbie is preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Gordon; mother, Dorothy Gordon; and sister, Dorothy Kamler. She is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis Manculich, and her cherished children, Jenny (Noah Zane) Fullerton and Joshua (Tyler) Manculich. Debbie was a proud grandmother to Chase, Eli, Bryce, Grace, and Levi Fullerton, and a devoted pet grandparent to her grandpups, Boo and Luna, and grandcats, Perch, Gelato, Clark, Wendy, and V. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Mitchell and James (Amanda-Rae) Yoder, former sister-in-law Michele Yoder, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, including Rhonda Sue (Jason) McWhorter, Kaiti (Matt) Manges, Kyle Yoder, Robert Mitchell Jr., Molly, Jacey, and Camden McWhorter. Additionally, she leaves behind a special cousin, Denise (David) Studinary, and her son from another mother, Matthew Helman. Debbie will be remembered for her unwavering love, kindness, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
Debbie was a loving wife, dedicated mother, and hardworking individual who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. Born on September 30, 1958 in the small town of Windber, Pennsylvania to Benjamin and Dorothy (Yoder) Gordon, she graduated from Windber Area High School in 1976, but not before meeting her would-be husband, Dennis Manculich. Excited to start their new lives together in Windber, Denny and Debbie married in spring of 1978 and would go on to have two children, Jenny and Joshua. (D+D=J&J)
Debbie loved being a mom. It was often said by her that being a mother changed her life for the better. As a mother she was always there when needed most, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance.
Known for her compassionate nature and giving spirit, Debbie's personality brought warmth and joy to others.
A friend to many, she leaves behind a legacy of generosity and strength. Debbie's memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all of those who were honored to have the privilege of knowing her.
Besides spending time with her family and friends, Debbie had a passion for gardening, flea marketing, and collecting antiques. She loved watching the Steelers play and drinking Galliker's iced tea. Her favorite color was blue and elephants held a special place in her heart. Caring for animals, whether they liked it or not, was another one of Debbie's specialties; no one could wrestle a stubborn rooster named Romeo better than she.
Denny, Jenny and Joshua would like to extend a special thank you to Denise and Dave Studindary for looking after the Manculich Homestead in their absence, as Debbie received treatment in Ohio.
The family would also like to express their thanks for the wonderful help and care given by the various doctors, nurses, and care management teams at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Doctors Hospital, and Select Speciality Hospital. Eliane Young, in particular, a nurse at Select Speciality Hospital was an absolute blessing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Wildlife Center at 6131 Cook Road, Powell, Ohio 43065. The family will not be holding formal services, honoring Debbie's desire for a simple and private remembrance.
