It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Chase. Chase Jacob Spitler, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022. He was 20 years old. He is survived by his mom, Danielle (Kenny Hinton) Spitler-Kiner, dad, Matt (Tracy) Fairchild, brothers, Cohen Kiner, Coy Kiner, grandma, Linda Spitler, grandpa, John (Tena) Fairchild, grandpa, Bob (Cheryl) Wellman, grandparents, Gail and Gerry Faler, Sam Kiner and Jeannie Sperling, aunt, Colleen (Marc) Shields, uncle, Nick Wellman, aunt, Tiffany (Jason) Barrett, cousins, Caitlyn (Conner) Rehling, Zach Shields, Tyler Shields, Ciarra Barrett, Cameron Barrett, along with many friends. He is preceded in death by his grandpa, David Spitler, grandma, Kathy Wellman, and too many friends.
Chase was a 2020 graduate of Grove City High School. He has since been working, including lawn care with his uncle. Chase had the most kind and loving personality, always wanting to help and take care of others. He was extraordinary in that he could achieve whatever he set his mind to. He had a grand love of music in every capacity; making, playing, singing and listening. He played many musical instruments including saxophone, guitar, drums and piano. He was also very creative from the time he was a little boy, always drawing, crafting, painting or making something. He loved being outdoors and appreciated the beauty of nature. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, being on the water, the changing leaves in fall and a great sunset. Chase was also an athlete, he played basketball most of his life and was an excellent baseball player for over 10 years including 6 years of competitive, travel ball for Worthington. He also took up trap shooting in high school due to a friend and was good at that as well. Chase touched everyone who was lucky enough to know him and was a bright light in so many lives. Whatever his people were doing, he was either doing it with them or helping them do it. He was an amazing son, brother, grandson, cousin and friend. Chase will be dearly missed and forever loved for his big heart and infectious smile.
A visitation time will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY where his funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 11:30 am with Pastor Dean Fulks officiating. Interment will be at Green Lawn Cemetery.
