Brenda Ray House

Brenda Ray House age 62 of Grove City, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at her residence with her loved ones by her side. Brenda was born in Huntington, WV to the late Elwood and Rosa (Horton) Cyrus. Brenda enjoyed flowers and watching soap operas on TV. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her brother Larry Cyrus; and sister Barbara Workman. She is survived by her loving husband Marvin Dwight House; children Christina (Rick) Taylor, Rachel Fares, Larissa (Steven Sloghter) House, and Matthew (Timber Abrahamson) House; grandchildren Brian Lee Smith, Sophia Taylor, Mason Taylor, and Maelee Ray Sloghter; sisters Rosia Hamilton and Patricia (David) Blevins; and Jimmy Cyrus; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Brenda’s family will receive friends 2-5 PM Sunday, June 18 at Schoedinger Grove City 4242 Hoover RD (Hoover Rd at Kingston Ave) Grove City, OH 43123 where her funeral service will be held 10 AM Monday. Pastor Gary Robinson officiating. Interment to follow at Fernwood Cemetery.
