Thomas Frank Kubik, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. He was born in Detroit on September 16, 1923; the son of Thomas and Anna (nee Hrabal) Kubik. Tom faithfully served his country in the United States Army during World War II from November 30, 1942 until his honorable discharge on December 31, 1945. After a brief leave following boot camp, Tom married the love of his life, Rosemary, only to become quite ill on their brief three day honeymoon. His illness kept him in the hospital long enough to miss his original detail to Germany and instead, he was deployed to Hawaii where he bravely served in the Pacific Theater. Tom worked many dedicated years in insurance sales. He was fun, social and loved to travel. One of his greatest pleasures was sharing a meal while dining out or visiting friends and family. Tom is dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary Cecelia for 74 years. She predeceased Tom on December 28, 2016 (exactly 8 weeks before him). Tom was the loving father of Thomas (Sherry) Kubik, Marilyn (Jim) Capizzi, Patrick (Mary) Kubik, Steven (Claudia) Kubik, Judith (Dan) Dickerhoff, Barbara (Jim) Stewart, and Douglas (Nancy) Kubik. Proud grandfather of 28 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Tom's family will receive friends on Sunday, February 26th from 3:00pm until 8:00pm at A.H.
