Robert W. Helms died suddenly on July 26, 2019 at the age of 73. Mr. Helms attended Albion College for two years, but received his bachelor's degree from Wayne State University. He went to get his MBA from the University of Detroit. Mr. Helms joined the Army Reserves shortly after college. He worked at Michigan National Bank and Harper Grace Hospital as a programmer. In later years, he worked in various areas of interest. He was a handball enthusiast and enjoyed tennis and golf. Father of Catherine (Daniel) Dietiker and Kevin (Sara). Grandfather of Sydney and Nicholas. Brother of Richard Helms. Dear Friend of Martha Louisell. Memorial Service Friday, August 16, at 2:00 pm at Grosse Pointe Memorial Church, 16 Lakeshore Drive, Grosse Pointe Farms.
