Richard W. Warren, Sr., age 75, passed away on December 23, 2023, after a nearly six month long battle with cancer. Richard was born on April 30, 1948, in Grosse Pointe, the son of George Warren (deceased) and Frances Warren. At the time of his passing, Richard was an Executive Vice President for Elliott Group International, working in the automotive industry. Rick had traveled all across Mexico and Asia to further his and his employer’s business endeavors and forge partnerships. Richard married his wife, Anna, on July 18, 1970, and had two sons, Richard Warren and Ryan Warren (deceased). Richard is survived by his wife, Anna Warren; mother, Frances Warren; son, Richard Warren; daughters-in-laws, Kate Bally and Stephanie Wiley; grandson, Thomas Liam Warren; step-grandson Mason Bally, and siblings, Eli Warren, Kathy Hoover (Charles), Cindy Lovelock (Mike), and Joyce Jawor (Ted), and his in-laws Marian Impastato (Joseph, deceased), Ronald Santavicca (Judy), Gloria Hinz (Jason), and Dianne Santavicca (Joseph, deceased). Richard was predeceased by his son, Ryan Warren; his Godson, Joseph Impastato; nieces Gina Santavicca and Isabella Keusch, his father, George Warren; and parents-in-law, Emedio and Olanda Santavicca.
Richard was a devoted and loving husband; a fantastic father to Ryan and Rich; a lover of dogs Muffin, Tyler, Sadie, Scout, and Lady; a mentor to many nieces and nephews; an incredible force in the business world; a listener to family and friends; and a person who treated everyone, from every walk of life, with dignity, respect, and empathy. His passing has left all of those around him with a moral compass, guiding light, and template to follow for everyone who knew him.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 26 at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road in Grosse Pointe Woods. The Eulogy will be delivered at 7:00 pm. Richard will lie instate at St. Veronica Catholic Church, 21551 Universal at Toepfer in Eastpointe from 9:30 am Wednesday until mass begins at 10:00 am. Reverend Fr. Stanley Pachla will officiate. Internment will occur at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
