Raymond "Ray" Lievens, age 83, died on Saturday, December 2, 2017. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 14, 1934. He is the son of the late Morris Henry and Edna Mary (nee Sheehan) Lievens. Raymond served 8 years in the national guard and retired from Ford Motor Company as a millwright in 1996. At the age of 15 years old, he started working in a service garage and before his 18th birthday had purchased the service garage. He owned, managed, and worked in the service garage for approximately 7 years. He restored many cars including a 1967 Camaro SS convertible and loved spending time on his boat in Lac St. Clair with family. Beloved husband of the late June. Loving father of Ray (Beth) Lievens, Chris (Arlin) Lievens, and Jeff (Lynne) Lievens. Cherished grandfather of Raymond (Imke) Lievens, Charisse (Kyle) Klumpp, Seth Lievens, and Hannah Lievens. Great-grandfather of Brayden Klumpp and Cooper Klumpp. Brother of the late Tim, Emmy, Ursula, Eleanor, and Bernadine. Dear companion of Janet Bonar. Best friend of Levi. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, december 8, 2017 at 12 noon at the funeral home. Memorials to American Lung Association would be appreciated.
