Phyllis Maher

MAHER, Phyllis (Nee McEwing), Age 88 of Warren, formerly of Redford Township, MI passed away on December 4, 2017. She was born on August 9, 1929 in Iron Mountain, MI to James and Philomine McEwing. Beloved wife of the late Maurice Maher. She was the proud mother of Drake (Mary) and step-mother of Maurice J. Maher; loving grandmother of Christopher (Kristen) and the late Stephen and great-grandmother of Kaitlyn and Julia. Dear sister of Joyce Gustafson, Mary Hord, and Harold McEwing. Predeceased by sisters Clara Mattson, Genevieve Hord and Eunice Hollingsworth and brother Lester McEwing. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday December 8th at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday December 9th at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish, 18720 13 Mile Rd, Roseville, MI 48066 where Mrs. Maher will lie In-state at 10:00 AM with the Mass beginning at 10:30 AM. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
