Patrick John Reardon

Pat was born February 3, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan to the late John and Ellen Reardon. Pat was a retired Detroit Police Officer, spending 28 years on the force beginning in 1970 on Operation S.T.R.E.S.S. (Stop The Robberies, Enjoy Safe Streets), worked at DPD headquarters as a dispatcher, and then joined Detroit’s 5th precinct at St. Jean and Jefferson where he retired in 1997.

Pat is predeceased by his parents, John and Ellen Reardon; sister, Mary Ellen Orlando (Tony); and sister, Kathleen Wnuk (Rick). He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon (DelPlace); sister, Carol Statham (Rick); brother, William (Pam); brother, John (Toni); brother-in-law Donald E. DelPlace, Jr. (the late Betty); daughters, Darlene (George Nemeh), Debbie Perkins, Sherry, and Denise McCloskey (Jon). He is also the grandfather to Kaitlyn Perkins and Emily and Sarah McCloskey. He is a loving uncle to two nieces and eight nephews.

Pat enjoyed watching the Tigers and Lions, was an avid hunter, and loved traveling, watching crime shows, and spending time with his family and friends.

A visitation for Pat will be held Sunday, January 15, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. A visitation will occur Monday, January 16, 2023, from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Paul on the Lake, 157 Lake Shore, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236 followed by a mass at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Safe Harbor Animal Rescue (15901 Darrow Road, Vermilion, OH 44089), American Cancer Society, or American Diabetes Association.
