Linda Joyce Ferguson

Linda J. Ferguson, age 60, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 11, 2012. She was born on March 25, 1951 in Detroit, the only child of Arthur and Opal Ferguson. Linda had attended college, studying psychology and had worked for over twenty years at the Detroit Free Press as a customer service representative. Linda loved to read, sew and create jewelry out of beads. Countless animals owe their lives to this exemplary woman. Due to her involvement with the Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society, she opened her home to temporarily shelter animals to ensure them a chance for a better life. This beautiful woman leaves behind many friends who will deeply miss her kindness, gentleness and the sound of her laughter. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Thursday with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road in Grosse Pointe Woods. Sr. Carol Juhasz, Pastoral Associate at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores will officiate. Interment will be at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township.
