Lawrence Michael Slowik

Slowik, Lawrence M. passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Friday May 1st. He was born on November 1, 1951 in Detroit, son of the late Walter and the late Joan Slowik. Mr. Slowik was a carpenter specializing in building automotive displays. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He leaves behind his wife Lori and son Brandon Robertson (Fiance Kristen Simon). He was a loving brother to Christopher (Janet), and Diane Grahl. Mr. Slowik was the proud uncle of Jessica, Carly and Emily Maxwell; Valerie and David Slowik; and Jessica and Heather Grahl. Brother-in-law of Lynn and David Maxwell. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday May 4th 10:00 AM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. The Service will be officiated by Pastor John Schwartz from Peace Lutheran Church and conclude with full military honors. A memorial gathering will be on Sunday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital
