Dennis Jerome Dettloff

Dennis Jerome Dettloff passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 with family by his side. He was born on April 3, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan; the son of Frank and Eleanor Dettloff. Dennis met his future wife while she was working at Browns Dairy when she was 16 years old and he was 19 years old. They were wed in 1969 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in East Detroit, MI (Eastpointe, MI). Dennis was a very good father and provider to his wife and three kids. He enjoyed coaching baseball and most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren. Beloved husband of Martha for 48 years. Loving father of Ann Marie Goodman, Laura Lynn (Ryan) Helme, and Daniel James (Erin) Dettloff. Cherished grandfather of Jacob Ryan Goodman, Caitlyn Marie Goodman, Sean Ryan Helme, Samantha Lynn Helme, Abigail Marie Dettloff, and Lilyana Grace Dettloff. Also survived by many loving family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Father William Herman from St. Ronald Catholic Church in Clinton Township, Michigan will be officiating. Memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
