Melissa Darlene Banks

Mrs. Melissa Darlene Banks, age 59 of Griffin, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Banks was born August 25, 1956 to the late Charles Bradley and Betty Jo Watts Segraves. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who enjoyed talking with people, and cherished her time teaching the special needs children in Spalding County. Mrs. Banks, a member of Rock Springs Church, loved the LORD, and enjoyed witnessing to people about HIM. She loved her family, and enjoyed her weekends with her granddaughter Abigail. Survivors include her husband Henry Banks of Griffin, son Rev. Bradley Banks and his fiancé Rae Botts; grandchildren, Abigail Joann Banks, Hope Robinson, Hunter Botts; brother and sister-in-law Daryl and Marsha Segraves of Griffin, loving brother, Billy Peters and wife Cathy; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. A funeral service for Mrs. Banks will be on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 6:00pm – 8:00 pm. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Flowers are accepted, especially yellow flowers.
